Boat – Coach Painter

About the job

We have a vacant position for a Boat / Coach Painter to join our busy support and aftersales team on rectification, damage and customer repairs. The work will range from touching in a scratch on an interior panel to a complete repaint to the outside of a boat.

About you

We would expect the successful applicant to have hands on experience in panel preparation and brush painting probably gained in a marine or commercial vehicle environment and have the ability to manage his own jobs in terms of time and materials.

Though working at marinas predominantly in the Midlands area there could be occasions when working on outlying boats it could necessitate staying away overnight, a company vehicle would be provided.

This position will suit someone who is capable of producing work to a high standard of finish.

Sales Trainee – Mercia Marina Office

We’re looking for a new sales trainee to come on board to help sell our wide and exciting range of new and used boats at our delightful Mercia Marina office.

We have been part of the boating community for over 20 years delivering high quality levels of service and due to continued expansion and internal promotion, we now have a vacancy for a trainee salesperson.

About the job

The position will suit someone who is confident, well presented and looking to a career in sales. The job will entail face to face contact with customers, liaising with suppliers as well as the administrative work associated with selling, brokering and buying boats.

About you

You’ll be working alongside an experienced and enthusiastic team. Previous experience is not a specific requirement for this position as it may suit someone leaving full time education, training will, of course, be given within the workplace but we are also committed to offering relevant training by outside bodies.

Marine/Service Engineer

About us

We are one of the UK’s leading inland boat brokers, selling new and used boats nationally and due to our continued expansion we are looking to recruit another Marine Engineer to join our existing team working on both new and used boats.

About the job

Though the boats are supplied throughout the UK the work tends to be predominantly in the Midlands, London and the Home Counties though occasionally there may be a requirement for the engineers to have nights away when working on outlying boats.

The successful applicant will be based out of our Hanbury Head office.

The work will be varied being mainly warranty issues on newly supplied boats or adjustments and instillations on boats prior to delivery. The work also includes AC and DC electrics, basic plumbing, localised paint correction and basic woodwork mainly interior trim adjustment or replacement.

About you

The successful applicant must be able and confident to work on his own and have the ability to asses a problems on site and resolve it in the most effective way.

Though engineering experience in the marine industry may be an advantage it isn’t a specific requirement as someone from a field service – maintenance background may well have the skills and knowledge to adapt to our requirements for an engineer.
