Solitaire Narrowboat

Solitaire is a boat I have known from new, and can be truly described as a modern classic. Built by the late Malcolm Braine a pioneer of the early days of restoration and of modern traditional style boats. Solitaire has been in the same ownership from new and maintained regardless of cost, to the point where she has been moored in her own purpose built boat shed when not out on weekend or holiday cruises. She presents as new, but has been professionally upgraded as can be seen by the bathroom. A survey carried out at the last blacking this year shows the hull to be in excellent condition, with no worries for the next owners.A lovely, solid fit in piranha pine gives a quality feel throughout. The boatman's cabin is a delight as is the engine room housing the Russell Newbury DM2. Viewing highly recommended for this very special boat, do not let the age stop you from viewing! .
